SlovSEFF has successfully financed investments in residential and industrial energy efficiency and renewable energy since its start in 2007. SlovSEFF was launched for an amount of €60 million and was extended in 2010 with an additional €90 million in EBRD financing to local banks. Donor funding was provided by the Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF) for incentive payments and technical assistance.
About 700 projects were financed under both SlovSEFF phases, which resulted in primary energy savings in the order of 580 GWh/year. The majority of investments were directed towards residential energy efficiency (>60%), which led to energy savings of 33% on average.
